This is a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track OR contract faculty position within the well-established School of Nursing's pre-licensure programs.
Teaching is one of the primary responsibilities of this position. An annual seven-course teaching load is standard for contract faculty. An annual six-course teaching load is standard for tenure-track faculty. This role involves teaching courses in the pre-licensure nursing program. Potential courses include, but are not limited to:

Tenure-track faculty are required to engage in scholarship and are expected to:
All contract faculty are expected to maintain currency in their discipline and licensure as required to carry out their duties at the University, including:
Terms of Service: This is a Boston-based, 10-month contract, non-tenure-track or tenure-track role that reports to the Pre-Licensure Nursing Program Administrator.Consistent with the Faculty Policy Manual (FPM), contract faculty are expected to teach seven courses per year or the equivalent as approved by the Dean, and will receive an annual evaluation.Also consistent with the Faculty Policy Manual (FPM), tenure-track faculty are expected to teach six courses per year or the equivalent as approved by the Dean, and will receive an annual evaluation.
However, junior tenure-track faculty receive course release time to focus on scholarship during the first five years, which will be planned in conjunction with the Pre-Licensure Nursing Program Director.Faculty are expected to adhere to all applicable Simmons policies.

Salary Range: $71,670 to $98,063 (annual).
