Optum Bank as a Product Owner, where you will play a pivotal role in building intuitive and seamless financial services experiences.By integrating customer-centric design principles with industry-leading financial services best practices, you will support both consumers and providers throughout the healthcare landscape.As healthcare undergoes significant transformation, delivering user-friendly financial solutions that empower consumers and providers to focus on care delivery, while effectively managing their financial roles, is essential to overall wellbeing.

In this position, you will engage across multiple organizational levels, leveraging deep expertise in product management and financial services to drive meaningful impact.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Define features, requirements, and leverage agile product management principles as you create financial products and offerings that are simple, intuitive, and meet complex healthcare financial services needs
  • Work with a broad matrix of stakeholders including, treasury, finance, credit, underwriters, engineering, and other business stakeholders through ideation, specification, design, test, launch, and deployment
  • Provide input to partners and stakeholders on projects and planning activities such as impact identification, defining prioritization, efforts required and developing solutions
  • Capture requirements, prioritize features, support UAT activities, and oversee delivery of functionalities and products roadmap
  • Manage external vendors and associated delivery of enhancements, backlog and defects
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in core banking platforms, transaction processing (e.g. ACH, wires, debit card) and banking regulations
  • 3+ years product ownership experience, with advanced understanding of agile product development methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience with financial services products, applications, and banking systems
  • 3+ years of experience with SLDC tools such as aha, Jira, confluence
  • 3+ years of experience in applications systems with a high proficiency in product requirements gathering and documentation
  • Knowledge and experience with technical solutions (Batch Processes, APIs, Kafka Events)
  • Proven ability to organize a backlog of clearly defined user stories that are effectively prioritized to meet targeted delivery dates
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Web/Portal projects. (Experience creating Wireframe)
  • Experience with SaaS solutions
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, UAT Testing

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
