About the Role
Reporting to the National Manager, Learning and Development within the National Public Health Service (NPHS), this role is responsible for designing, delivering and maintaining high-quality, engaging learning solutions that support the NPHS workforce. With a particular focus on statutory officer training, you will scope and develop innovative, learner-centred programmes that meet business needs and enable equitable access to professional development. Your work will support recruitment, retention and career progression, ensuring the public health workforce remains skilled, adaptable and aligned with best practice.
Working as part of a collaborative Learning and Development function, you will lead the end-to-end development of learning initiatives, including programme design, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement. You will also manage learning content within the LMS, build strong relationships with subject matter experts and external providers, and contribute to a consistent, sustainable approach to learning across NPHS. This role requires a proactive, relationship-focused professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.
This role can be based at Health New Zealand office; however the preferred location is Wellington.
