This position rotates between sailing as Relief Chief Engineer and Assistant Engineer. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery on vessel, including preventative maintenance of all machinery
Tools, equipment, parts and supplies to be cleaned, organized, and inventoried
Ensure the Engine Department is operated in accordance with applicable rules, regulations, and Andrie Inc. Standard Operating Procedures
Train subordinates as required
Assist Port Engineer and Director of Engineering in the efficient planning and execution of approved winter work projects
Requirements
Licensing Requirements:
Possess a valid USCG Engineers License with a minimum of Chief Engineer Limited or a DDE Unlimited
Valid CPR, First Aid, and Fire Fighting Certificates
Knowledge of all vessel systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, diesels, propulsion and auxiliaries
Basic computer skills
