Job Title: Head of Product Marketing / Director - Optical Semiconductor & Coherent DSP
Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and technically strong Marketing Leader to drive global marketing strategy, product positioning, and demand generation for next-generation optical communication and semiconductor solutions. This leadership role will own the full marketing function and work closely with executive leadership, engineering, and sales teams to accelerate growth across telecom, datacom, and AI connectivity markets.
This position combines deep technical marketing expertise in coherent optics and semiconductor technologies with proven leadership in high-growth or startup environments. The role requires translating complex technical innovations into compelling market narratives while driving go-to-market execution and brand leadership globally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute global marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives and product roadmap
Position the organization as a leader in coherent DSP, optical semiconductors, and next-generation connectivity
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, operations, and executive leadership
Represent the company across industry forums, analyst briefings, and customer engagements
Product & Technical Marketing
Lead product marketing for coherent DSP ASICs, optical transceivers, and semiconductor solutions
Develop and own MRDs, PRDs, competitive analysis, and product positioning
Create high-impact technical content including whitepapers, datasheets, product briefs, and presentations
Translate market demand into technical product requirements and roadmap inputs
Engage with engineers, architects, and CTO-level stakeholders
Go-To-Market & Demand Generation
Drive go-to-market strategies, product launches, and global campaigns
Lead demand generation including digital marketing, events, PR, analyst relations, and partner marketing
Support sales enablement, account-based marketing, and pipeline acceleration
Strengthen brand presence in telecom, datacom, and AI connectivity ecosystem
Leadership & Operations
Build and lead a high-performing global marketing team
Manage marketing budget and optimize ROI across channels
Collaborate with hyperscalers, network OEMs, and system integrators
Support strategic growth initiatives including funding, partnerships, or expansion
Required Qualifications
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in semiconductors, optical communications, or networking
5+ years experience in coherent optics, DSP, photonics, transceivers, or PIC technologies
Proven track record bringing semiconductor or telecom products to market
Experience in writing and owning MRDs and PRDs
Deep understanding of coherent optical systems, modulation formats, and telecom/datacom market dynamics
Strong communication and technical storytelling skills
Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with hyperscalers, telecom OEMs, or system integrators
Experience across both startups and large enterprises
Strong team leadership and budget management experience
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Applied Physics, or related field preferred
