About the Role

Sales Manager/Director

Our client is a leading provider of power switches and components for the utility industry. They have been around for over 75 years and continue to stay top in the industry providing the widest variety of options in the power industry. They sell into utility, industrial, and military. They are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager/Director to join their team and manage 3-5 Regional Sales Managers.

Job Description:

  • Manage a team of 3-5 Regional Sales Managers to achieve sales goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue targets within the assigned region.
  • Develop business in both new and existing accounts.
  • Work with clients in military, utility and serve as a consultative expert in power switches.
  • Work opportunities through manufacturing representatives - managing a complex sale and balancing many decision makers.
  • Work closely with manufacturing representatives to achieve sales plans and targets.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the region, including new customer acquisition and existing customer growth.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers at utility organizations, electrical contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies and tactics as needed.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote our client's products and build brand awareness.

The Successful Applicant:

  • 10+ years of Technical Sales leadership experience
  • Experience leading both direct teams and manufacturing reps
  • Experienced in Creating GTM strategies in a technical environment
  • Strong analytical background with experience in data analysis, ERP systems, and pivot tables
  • Close access to a major airport - ability to travel nationally
