Senior Account Management Director, K-12 Education
Hanover Research is seeking a Senior Account Management Director for the K-12 Education industry. This position is based in Arlington, VA, with a remote opportunity available. The Senior Account Management Director ensures service delivery to existing clients and conducts renewal and relationship-expansion conversations with senior-level decision makers in the K-12 Education industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with current clients through demonstration of in-depth institutional knowledge, understanding of specific institutional needs or priorities, and the ability to propose custom research solutions.
- Navigating Hanover's partnership offerings on behalf of the organization, ensuring the appropriate service is provided to meet the client's needs.
- Determining appropriate tactics to drive urgency in the renewal and upsell cycle.
- Creating the opportunity to expand existing relationships through cross-sell opportunities of other service offerings.
- Educating contacts on the benefits of Hanover's products and services through compelling articulation of our business model and value proposition.
- Creating customized account plans for each organization, outlining service delivery and revenue-growth strategies for existing and potential clients.
- Collaborating with the Content team to ensure targeted and substantive solution delivery.
- Meeting challenging monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
- Predicting cash retention probability and reporting findings to senior leadership.
- Average client pool size will range from $3 M to $4M.
- Willingness to travel 10-25% to client sites.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, social sciences, education, communications, political science, economics, psychology, public policy or similar is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of Account Management or Sales experience.
- Experience within the Education field is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work outside the strict job description parameters, thinking creatively about how to provide the highest level of client service and commercial strategies.
- Ability to develop relationships, establish credibility, and conduct substantive content discussions with decision makers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong ability to think strategically about client management.
- Ability to diagnose client needs and identify relevant solutions.
- Be comfortable asking for business and resilient in pursuing revenue opportunities.
Location: DMV region preferred (office in Arlington VA). Remote option available.

Compensation: Hanover Research strives to create compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, equitable, and fair. The On Target Earning (OTE) range for this role is $190,000 to $220,000 per year, which is comprised of a base salary range from $110,000-$120,000 and a variable uncapped commission structure ranging from $80,000 - $100,000 when goal is 100% obtained for this role. Please note that the base salary offered is contingent on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our base pay range is determined by the role and the market.
