About the Role

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

This is a remote position. We are seeking exceptional executive leadership talent for an opportunity with a private equity-backed healthcare services organization. This is an ideal role for a transformational CEO with a proven track record in scaling businesses, driving operational improvements, and delivering value creation in partnership with investors. This full time position is remote or located at the organization's headquarters in Chicago, IL.

ROLE: As Chief Executive Officer, you will lead a healthcare services company through the next phase of growth and transformation. You'll serve as a strategic partner to the Board and investors, with full P&L accountability and the mandate to drive long-term growth, operational excellence, and financial performance. You'll be responsible for setting a compelling vision, leading with data-driven precision, and building a high-performing team to deliver measurable outcomes across revenue cycle performance, technology optimization, M&A integration, and client success.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Execution: Set and communicate a clear strategic vision aligned with private equity value creation goals. Lead company-wide transformation initiatives, spanning technology, process improvement, and scalability. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and innovation.
  • Operational Excellence: Own the design and implementation of best-in-class RCM processes, optimizing each stage of the revenue cycle. Partner with the executive team to enhance reporting systems, KPIs, and financial insights that guide sound business decisions. Oversee legal, finance, and compliance functions, with a risk-aware, growth-forward mindset.
  • M&A & Integration: Lead strategic acquisitions and successful integration of new entities into the operating platform. Drive system standardization, unify processes, and harmonize culture across the organization.
  • Technology-Enabled Transformation: Spearhead the implementation of automation, analytics platforms, and modern RCM tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce denials, DSO, and aging A/R. Assess and scale technologies that position the business for long-term sustainability and competitive advantage.
  • Board & Investor Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Board of Directors and investors, ensuring transparency, accurate financial reporting, and consistent alignment with investment objectives. Deliver actionable insights that support forecasting, re-forecasting, and capital strategy (debt/equity raises).

Qualifications: Proven CEO or executive leader with full P&L responsibility in a healthcare services or RCM environment.Demonstrated success navigating the private equity lifecycle: from initial investment and growth phase through to successful exit.Skilled in managing investor relations, board communication, and high-stakes decision-making.Deep understanding of the revenue cycle: from patient access and coding to billing, collections, and payer relationships.A strong track record of financial optimization, reducing operational inefficiencies, and maximizing EBITDA.Experience leading businesses through rapid growth, turnarounds, or digital transformation.

A strong builder of teams and culture, focused on talent development and retention.Clear communicator, capable of inspiring and aligning diverse stakeholders.Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, etc.) preferred.Willingness to travel as needed The compensation for this role to commensurate with experience.
