The postdoctoral associate will be responsible for creating an energy systems modeling tool that models energy resources, technologies, and loads for specific applications.The postdoctoral associate will conduct research to assess the impacts of different energy resources and technologies for various scenarios.The postdoc will train and supervise other team members and mentor students as necessary to advance the project.The project will require effective collaboration with other entities that have relevant expertise and information for the project.
The postdoctoral associate will be responsible for drafting project reporting documents (such as presentations and written reports) and public dissemination of the project results via mechanisms such as scholarly journal articles.
Applicants must have fulfilled all requirements for the award of a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field by the date of employment. PhD in any engineering discipline. Strong proficiency in coding, including coding in python. Experience creating energy modeling programs and/or energy management systems. Expertise in optimization and techno-economic analyses applied specifically to energy systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet measurable, timebound milestones.
Hiring Range - $68,000 to $70,000
