About the Role
Title: In-House Counsel
Location: New York, NY (Onsite) Position Type: Full Time
Compensation Pay Range:$160,000 to $225,000 Per Year
Description Join a fast-growing company in a regulated industry as an In-House Counsel in New York, NY. This full-time role requires managing legal functions, providing business-oriented advice, and ensuring compliance with privacy and AI governance. The ideal candidate will handle complex deals and regulatory matters using advanced legal technologies.
Key Responsibilities Manage and negotiate commercial contracts, including customer agreements and vendor contracts. Oversee contract lifecycle management, ensuring efficient workflows and template maintenance. Support sales cycles by negotiating agreements with financial institutions. Advise on regulatory compliance, including privacy laws and financial regulations. Develop legal policies and partner with teams to embed privacy and AI practices.
Qualifications JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership. 5 years of legal experience in financial services, fintech, or SaaS. Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and independent negotiation skills. Understanding of financial regulations and data privacy laws. Ability to provide practical legal advice in a startup environment.
