Position Summary
The Senior Director, Strategic Accounts & Partnershipsis responsible for leading Revision Skincare's Strategic Accounts organization and driving enterprise-level growth across key business partnerships, strategic customers, and emerging channels.
This executive leadership role serves as the architect of Revision's strategic account strategy, overseeing customer growth, business development, channel expansion, partnership development, and commercial execution across physician practices, regional and national practice groups, medical spa organizations, enterprise aesthetic platforms, and authorized e-commerce partners.
As the senior leader of Strategic Accounts, this individual serves as the voice of strategic customers within Revision Skincare and the face of Revision with key external partners. The Senior Director develops long-term growth strategies, identifies market opportunities and whitespace, builds high-impact partnerships, and ensures alignment across Sales, Marketing, Education, Digital, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
This role leads a team of Strategic Account Managers and Strategic Account Analysts and is accountable for delivering accelerated revenue growth, increased market penetration, and enhanced strategic partnerships that advance Revision Skincare's position as a leading professional skincare brand
Overview
The Director of Strategic Accounts position reporting to the CCO is responsible for driving sales results, at a national level, across a variety of customer segments and targets. Demonstrating financial acumen is a key responsibility due to the size and national impact of targets and their growing importance in the organization.
This includes collaborating with the CCO on developing, managing, and strengthening sales and relationships with a broad spectrum of customers through the development and execution of specific and aligned sales strategies.This spectrum includes customers in terms of how they are organized (individual, group), specialty (derm, plastic), professional segments (physician, med spa) or based on sales (dollars, units).The priority focus is on accounts that are organized in some manner – i.e. derm group or KOL/SAB or other key identifier.
This role is responsible for developing specific account strategies that can be executed by the sales team or internal team through coordination at the field and office level.This role will also be required to keep CCO and various internal teams updated on changing customer dynamics so resources can be developed to help drive future sales growth as this department grows.
Due to the broad skill set required in this role, as well as the number of various relationships to manage across customers or inside the organization, the skill of influencing is a crucial requirement.Influencing is defined as the effectiveness in directing activities, gaining acceptance and input while guiding others toward task accomplishment without direct supervisor responsibilities or authoritative power.This role will need to ensure alignment to organizational objectives and corporate compliance policies as part of the overall plan and execution of this plan.
This includes the plan development of a Strategic Accounts strategies, managing multiple activities, plan execution, reporting and driving overall performance in targets.The establishment, development and managing of both internal and external customers relationships are critical success factors to support the selling efforts at the BDM, RSD, CCO and organizational levels.Leadership demonstrating a high level of integrity, follow-through and accountability through various activities is required with account executives, sales leadership, customers and internal departments.
Location
Field-based in major metropolitan area with major airport; this position will require travel nationwide as needed and approved by the CCO; travel is estimated at 50% to 75%.
Essential Duties and Functions
- Drive sales growth in targeted accounts
- Development and execution of specific account plans to targeted accounts in collaboration with BDM, RSD, & CCO to ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives.
- Identify key territory opportunities and work directly with Revision Skincare Account BDMs (Business Development Managers) and RSDs to develop and implement local customized strategic growth strategies, both at the strategic account and broader territory or regional levels.
- Acts as team member in various initiatives or plans that impact the customer. This includes development of a plan as well as execution of a plan. Multiple plans in effect at a single point in time as well.
- Support RSDs, BDMs and internal teams with analysis, development and execution of strategic business and marketing plans for targeted accounts in support of achieving account, territory, regional, and national sales objectives.
- Compile data on customers for use as sales growth opportunities or leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet web sites, and other sources.
- Maintain accurate, current data on each targeted customer account including practice/office demographics, staff, call and sales history.
- Conceptualize innovative new targeted campaigns based on company objectives to match local culture, preference, and business needs. Identify and match targeted campaigns with prospective accounts to maximize sales growth.
- Manage projects through all phases of implementation including plan development, messaging, positioning, reporting and execution in a timely and team-focused style.
- Identify market opportunities at the local and national level that can be leveraged to build the brand and grow overall business objectives.
- Develop strong working relationships with sales leadership, BDMs, key targeted customers, and cross functionality with training & education, marketing, and other internal departments as required.
- Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual competitors and their accomplishments.
- Develop and grow key customer relationships by analyzing market strategies, support requirements, and account potential.
- Conceptualize, develop, and leverage a unique blend business strategy, marketing strategy, visual merchandising, and consumer knowledge to offer a strategy that results in account growth and retention for RSC products.
- Manage account strategy workflow and resolve internal priorities across multiple requests to maintain accountability to meet customer and BDM expectations that are aligned to organizational objectives and resourcing.
- Influence internal and external teams as required, to achieve territory, regional and national objectives.
- Continuously evaluate both internal and external processes and procedures; identify key opportunities for enhanced productivity and efficiency; communicate across the Commercial team to execute new process objectives.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhance organization reputation by differentiating Revision Skincare strategic support in the marketplace and accomplishing new and different requests; continuously explores opportunities to add value to strategic partnership.
- Develop, track, report and manage budget
- Provide feedback for training needs of sales team or customer accounts
- Participate for learnings at various meetings, including tradeshows, forms, symposiums, meetings, and events.
- Report ROI to evolve understanding of how to best utilize strategic business resources to maximize future ROI that are aligned with organizational objectives and budgets.
- Other duties may be assigned based on business needs and changing market conditions.
Qualifications
- Professional experience working with dermatologists, plastic surgeons or medical spa, for minimum of 5 years
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressively responsible sales experience required with successful track record
- Minimum three (3) years of pharmaceutical/medical/skincare sales experience with successful track record
- Preference for three (3) years of experience managing direct reports with successful track record
- Ability to travel overnight as needed. Overnight travel estimated at 50% to 75%
- Budget management experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at individual and group levels
- Demonstrate high level of integrity and accountability via strong leadership track record
- Must be proficient with MS Office, Windows, and familiar with sales tracking and reporting software.
