About the Role
Position: VP, Investment Banking Client: Banking Location: Remote all over USA Duration: Fulltime / Permanent Work Schedule: Remote and 10% travel on company cost $200k - $225K base salary + annual bonus + benefits
Position Overview This is a deal leadership role. Crosstree is seeking experienced investment banking professionals who can independently originate, manage, and close M&A transactions. We are not looking for co-pilots. We need bankers with a proven track record of closing deals on their own, who know the full deal lifecycle like the back of their hand. If you have not led and closed transactions independently, this role is not the right fit.
Strong sell-side M&A execution experience
Experience leading or originating healthcare/banking investment transactions
Key Responsibilities
Independently originate, manage, and close sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions from engagement through closing
Serve as the primary client relationship manager, providing strategic counsel and active deal management with urgency
Lead all phases of the transaction process including marketing, buyer outreach, management presentations, due diligence, and negotiations
Develop and execute business development strategies to cultivate new client relationships and engagements
Attend and lead client meetings with prospective buyers, including management presentations and due diligence sessions
Oversee Associates and Analysts, providing direction, quality assurance, and mentoring
Develop and maintain SOPs and templates designed to optimize efficiency across the firm's assignments
Support Managing Directors and Principals in business development including creative and strategic direction on pitchbook production
Perform all duties of Associate and Analyst as needed, including financial modeling, valuation analyses, memorandum drafting, and presentation preparation
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated track record of independently closing M&A transactions (5 completed closings in a lead role)
Experience managing the full lifecycle of investment banking assignments from origination through close
Deep understanding of deal marketing, buyer outreach, negotiation, and closing processes
MSF, MBA, or Bachelor's Degree with substantial relevant work experience
Series 63 & 79 license (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of request)
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
Quantitative and analytical skills including financial modeling, corporate financial projections, and equity valuation
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple active engagements in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare or health sciences investment banking
Established network of buyer and seller relationships in the health sciences sector
Familiarity with Capital IQ and comparable platforms
Experience with AI-enabled deal tools and workflows
