  • Review and approve design changes to ensure scalability, resiliency, and standardization.

Technical Leadership & Escalation

  • Act as the final escalation point (L3) for complex, cross-domain infrastructure issues.
  • Lead major incident recovery, root cause analysis (RCA/PCA), and long-term corrective actions.
  • Provide technical direction during outages, audits, and high-risk change activities.

Engineering & Automation

  • Engineer and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments with enterprise hardening and security baselines.
  • Develop and standardize PowerShell automation to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational consistency.
  • Drive performance tuning across compute, memory, storage, and network layers.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Enforce platform security controls including BitLocker, Defender, firewall policies, audit logging, and access controls.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX, HIPAA, PCI, and internal governance standards.

  • Monitor environments using enterprise tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and define thresholds and remediation patterns.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical platform support.

Knowledge & People Leadership

  • Create and maintain architecture documents, SOPs, operational standards, and knowledge articles.
  • Mentor and technically guide L1/L2 engineers to raise platform maturity and reduce escalations.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and project teams.
