About the Role
Virtualization Operations Engineer
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Virtualization Operations Engineer. This role involves executing end-to-end VM migrations and setting up and operating the NetApp Shift Toolkit.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience with VM migrations from vSphere (ESXi/vCenter) to Hyper-V using Veeam Instant VM Recovery (IVMR) and the NetApp Shift Toolkit
Proficiency in using Veeam Backup & Replication for migrations
Knowledge of network and IP mapping, and executing final cutovers with limited downtime
Experience in setting up and operating the NetApp Shift Toolkit on ONTAP storage, including SMB 3.0 and NFS shares
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SMB Constrained Delegation
Familiarity with export policies and large-scale disk conversion workflows
Additional certifications in virtualization technologies
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Execute VM migrations using Veeam Instant VM Recovery and the NetApp Shift Toolkit
Support migration processes, including backup and replica jobs
Operate and maintain the NetApp Shift Toolkit on ONTAP storage
