About the Role
100 Year old company.Outstanding manufacturer offering stability, education and growth in a metals and heat transfer product environment.The Project Engineer works in cooperation with the rest of the organization to ensure delivery of engineering design and processing of our ASME code-related orders.The Project Engineer shall assume responsibility and accountability for all technical aspects of their assigned projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure the mechanical/structural and thermodynamic integrity of the design. - Manage activities according to the project schedule and customer commitments. - Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with all customers. - Develop a comprehensive understanding of project documents and requirements. - Monitor and control design costs to protect the margin established at the time of the sale. - Design special mechanical components to meet job-specific requirements. - Utilize SolidWorks 3D to design and model assemblies and components. - Collaborate with the assigned Designer to develop job-specific SolidWorks models and drawings - Prepare job-specific Installation, Operation and Maintenance (IO&M) manuals. - Adhere to ISO and ASME Code Quality Program requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - ASME Standards knowledge, experience and competence. - Experienced with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software. - Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and MS Access. - Strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Ability to work cooperatively in project/process teams.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - (Preferred) Experience in a metal products manufacturing environment with lean principles.
