About the Role
Senior Director Of System Sales
The Senior Director of System Sales is responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of a team of System Sales Reps. This key role will help develop and deploy sales strategies to attract, win and retain new key accounts through coaching and management of the individual sales reps and executive interaction with customers to grow our business.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy across North America, aligned with the company's goals and objectives
Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear sales targets and KPIs. Ensure continuous team development through training and mentorship, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
Drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and establishing strong relationships with new and existing customers. Identify and develop new market opportunities across North America.
Support Sales reps in preparing negotiations, leveraging prices, conditions and technical solutions to acquire the business.
Manage Sales reps in maintaining accurate forecasts, pipelines and consistent CRM updates while providing regular updates to Executive.
Collaborate with upper management in defining annual sales budget and update forecasts quarterly for the department
Develop value proposition documents to outline how to properly position and sell Trew's products and solutions. Collaborate with various Trew internal stakeholders to develop these tools.
Oversee the sales team, determining wages, commissions; manage hiring and terminations in cooperation with HR.
Regularly review sales performance against targets, providing detailed reports to senior management, and adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure goals are met or exceeded
Required Skills/Abilities:
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with at least 5-10 years of sales management experience, preferably in the automation industry
Previous Sales Management responsibility in a high technology sales environment, with performance management.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve goals
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
Deep understanding of the North American market dynamics for manufacturing and automation
Deep understanding of customer base
Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and Sales management tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communications skills a must, ability in negotiations.
Transparent style-and a willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues; ability to think quickly.
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks.
Sound business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
Previous experience accurately forecasting and reporting on territory /account activity.
Ability to work independently and also in a structured, disciplined sales environment.
Ability to travel across North America.
Education & Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience managing an Automated Systems/ MHE Sales force
Preferred additional Direct Systems Sales experience
