About the Role

Senior Production Manager

The senior production manager is responsible for developing and implementing the operational delivery of the globalization division's growth strategy, utilizing the full range of project management tools at Keywords Studios.

Reporting to the portfolio director, the senior production manager is responsible for a client base comprising one or more strategic accounts. They work closely with peers in production management and other support functions to implement and deliver plans for assigned accounts.

Details of the role include:

  • Collaborating with portfolio management and production management colleagues, as well as the globalization division's client engagement team, to develop strategies and plans to increase and maintain profitability and operational footprint.
  • Taking full responsibility for managing the client's international presence and program, proposing and directing actions that can increase revenue or profitability.
  • In collaboration with portfolio directors and the implementation team, developing and implementing localization and quality assurance strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Participating in high-level decision-making processes and providing advice on how localization and quality assurance teams can contribute to business growth and market penetration.
  • Having a deep understanding of performance indicators and ways to tip the balance, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Managing complex strategic clients and budgets, including forecasting and financial planning for localization and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Making high-level financial decisions to allocate resources efficiently across numerous projects and regions.
  • Leading initiatives to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of localization and quality assurance efforts.
  • Handling complex issues and crises that arise during localization and quality assurance projects, including major quality issues, supplier or service provider failures, and unexpected market changes.
  • Designing workflows and ensuring the integration of localization and quality assurance services and technological implementations.
  • Supervising the production of localization and quality assurance projects to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring a standard of consistency, accuracy, and excellence for all localization and quality assurance deliverables.
  • Helping team members overcome project ambiguities and resolve issues.
  • Supporting and mentoring team members; encouraging a spirit of continuous growth.
  • Planning career paths for team members in cooperation with HR and providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Creating and communicating production reports.
  • Cooperating with the client engagement team to establish quotes for key projects and programs.
  • Cooperating with the finance department and other support structures to share production data and forecasts.
  • Performing other special projects or specific tasks as needed.
  • Promoting the adoption of new localization and quality assurance tools and technologies to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Leading actions to achieve standardization among project managers from different sites.
  • Adjusting team size according to account requirements and business needs.
  • Ensuring all client documents are fully updated and easily accessible.
  • Attending quarterly and monthly business reviews and account meetings as needed.
Skills and Qualifications Required
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Excellent team management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in implementing standard work processes, along with tactical and operational expertise.
  • Development of operational processes (recommendations, procedural documents), detailed project plans, and status reporting mechanisms.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, including executives and senior management.
  • Initiative and responsibility: willingness to act proactively in identifying opportunities and anticipating changes, while knowing when to escalate information appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create strong, positive relationships with various local and international stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Competence in data, metrics, and performance management.
  • High cultural sensitivity, proven ability to work effectively with multicultural and commercial teams, preferably within a large international company.
  • Six to eight years of experience in audio, text, AQL, or AQF, preferably in a multinational context.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (e.g., in business administration, translation, or a related field).
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google tools.
Benefits

The total compensation for this position ranges from CAD 100,000 to CAD 150,000 per year, depending on experience.
