About the Role

Sales Director

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Director based in the United States.

This role is a high-impact leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling B2B revenuestreams within a leading media and digital content environment serving the gaming industry.You will be responsible for designing and executing a full go-to-market sales strategy, shaping partnerships, and expanding advertising and sponsorship revenue across multiple channels.The position combines hands-on deal execution with strategic ownership, requiring both commercial acumen and the ability to build scalable sales systems from the ground up.

You will work closely with editorial, marketing, and creative teams to develop compelling partnership offerings that align with audience engagement and brand value.This is a role for a builder who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys owning the entire sales lifecycle.Over time, you will also have the opportunity to build and lead a growing sales team.

Accountabilities:

You will own and drive the full B2B sales function, developing new revenue streams and building long-term partnerships that expand the commercial footprint across advertising, branded content, and subscription offerings. This includes:

  • Leading the end-to-end B2B sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, closing, and account management
  • Developing and selling advertising, sponsorship, and branded content solutions across digital and print platforms
  • Designing and packaging new B2B offerings such as group subscriptions, custom partnerships, and integrated media solutions
  • Identifying and pursuing new partnership opportunities across gaming, entertainment, technology, and adjacent industries
  • Collaborating with editorial, marketing, and creative teams to design and execute partner campaigns and special projects
  • Building CRM systems, sales workflows, and pipeline tracking processes to ensure forecasting accuracy and performance visibility
  • Optimizing outbound and inbound sales processes using modern prospecting and outreach tools
  • Building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing sales team as the function scales
  • Continuously testing and refining pricing, positioning, and packaging strategies based on market feedback and performance data
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B sales leader with a proven track record of owning complex sales cycles and building revenue-generating partnerships in media, advertising, or digital content environments.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnership roles
  • Proven success managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and account growth
  • Strong understanding of advertising, sponsorships, branded content, or media-based revenue models
  • Experience building or scaling B2B sales processes, pipelines, and CRM systems
  • Highly organized, metrics-driven, and comfortable working with performance data and forecasts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong pitching and storytelling ability
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with creative, editorial, and marketing teams
  • Familiarity with outbound sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar platforms
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from scratch in a fast-moving environment
  • Passion for gaming, digital media, or pop culture is a strong plus
