The DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University invites applications for multiple adjunct professor positions in our new online MBA in Health Leadership & Innovation (MBA-HLI). An earned doctorate in the discipline, or a closely related field with substantial graduate-level coursework (minimum of 18 credit hours) is required. This dynamic, innovation-focused program is designed for professionals seeking to lead transformative change across the healthcare sector. Courses are delivered in 8-week, fully online sessions with synchronous engagement.
We are hiring qualified adjunct faculty to teach in any of the following specialization areas:
Responsibilities include facilitating 8-week, fully online courses using a structured, asynchronous format with weekly live touchpoints, setting up and maintaining course shell in Blackboard Ultra following institutional guidelines, providing timely, constructive feedback and mentorship to graduate students, supporting student engagement through discussion boards, video sessions and office hours, collaborating with Northwood instructional support and DeVos Graduate School administration to ensure consistent course delivery, and participating in periodic faculty development and orientation sessions.
Qualifications include a terminal degree (PhD, DHA, DBA, DrPH, or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Public Health, Health Administration, Business, Law, Informatics, Data Science, Organizational Leadership, or a healthcare-related discipline, minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate coursework in the teaching discipline (or substantial applied expertise in the health sector), experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably in an online environment, professional experience in the healthcare industry or health-related innovation preferred, candidates must demonstrate comfort with a learner-centered, problem-based teaching approach, and preference will be given to candidates who can teach across multiple content areas and who bring interdisciplinary or applied experience.
