This full time, permanent Mechanical Engineering Designer is at a very family-friendly, employee-friendly, leading Original Equipment Manufacturer that designs, fabricates and installs custom systems for manufacturing environments. Sales consistently grow 20% annually. The culture is very laid back and open. Over 35% of employees have been with the company more than 25 years.
The successful candidate will have a lot of variety in their work as every system is custom made and no two systems are alike. Projects are done across a variety of industries. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:
Working on projects with a project engineer, designers and drafters
Creating fabrication designs in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Creating assembly designs in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Participating in the resolution of issues with fabrication designs
Analyzing and minimizing cost of production
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
A related two year engineering degree or an additional year of mechanical engineering design engineering experience
Two or more years of SolidWorks design experience
Two or more years of AutoCAD design experience
Two or more years of structural and mechanical design experience
Ability to work independently
An engineering degree
Possess a solid work history
Being a US citizen or green card holder
Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
