Job Title
Under the responsibility of the Director of Strategy, Finance and Transformation, the Controller and Strategy Manager is responsible for preparing and conducting operational, economic, and financial performance analyses of the company to organize and control its economic management and optimize its financial profitability and performance in accordance with the objectives defined by the Group and within the stipulated timeframes.Positioned as a Business Partner to operational teams and the management.
It also contributes to the development and monitoring of the Group's strategy by conducting strategic analyses and business plans that inform the decisions of the Management.
Work Relationships
Reports hierarchically to the Director of Strategy, Finance and Transformation. Manages a team of approximately four people.
In relation with the various services of the Group (collection of operational and financial data, support for analysis), with the Heads of the different services of the Group (analysis of operational and financial performances).
In contact with the Auditors and with the shareholder (upward transmission of financial data and analysis reports).
Description of Significant Activities
Developing management procedures and tools
- Design and update reporting tools for the Management and the various services of the Group
- Develop the activity dashboards (weekly, monthly or quarterly)
- Implement and improve financial information management and optimization procedures to ensure their reliability
Establishing forecasts based on data communicated by the various services and the financial data of the Group:
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and re-forecasts of results, in collaboration with the Management and process managers
- Conduct economic and financial studies on specific projects (product launches, marketing projects, investment, etc.)
Participating in accounting closures
- Control and validate the turnover
- Control the inventory operations of raw materials, components, goods and finished products
- Control and validate the valuation of stocks and their depreciation, and analyze their variations
- Provide the Accounting with the extra-accounting elements to be integrated into the results for better readability of the economic reality of the activity (provisions).
Conducting analyses and reporting
- Based on the data entered in the ERP:
- Analyze and comment on the operational and financial results of the Group by comparison with the budget and/or previous periods.
- Identify deviations and areas for optimization, help process managers improve their performance by proposing corrective or preventive actions.
Contributing to the development and monitoring of the Group's strategy
- Conduct strategic analyses in support of the Management: market studies, competitive intelligence and analysis of growth opportunities
- Build and challenge medium and long-term business plans and scenarios
- Evaluate the profitability and financial impacts of strategic and investment projects (business cases)
- Contribute to the analysis of external growth operations and partnerships (valuation, financial due diligence)
- Develop and monitor the strategic plan's performance indicators and measure the achievement of objectives
Contributing to the improvement of the information system and data
- Participate in the implementation of certain ERP modules in the definition of information flows, the configuration of certain applications, the animation of project meetings concerning dashboards and financial information.
- Participate in the implementation of the Group's data warehouse and Business Intelligence tools in the definition of information flows, the configuration of certain applications, the animation of the use of tools.
Participate in the audits of the auditors: prepare the financial elements (margins, sales, stocks) requested by the auditors
Define the main orientations of the controls and the indicators to be implemented, and the framework of the reporting intended for the Management
Lead the budgeting and re-forecasting process
Propose and implement the structuring of management control within the group, according to its organizational evolutions and changes in scope
Manage the management controllers:
- Evaluate and propose the resource needs (human resources in relation to activity)
- Participate in the recruitment of new employees
- Lead team meetings.
- Distribute tasks among service collaborators
- Conduct various evaluation and professional interviews
- Ensure team versatility and associated training
- Report disciplinary issues to the HR service and participate in the resulting procedure
- Support teams on human and technical issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in finance/management control or 5 years of experience in a similar field
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Know the business sector of the Group's companies and their processes.
- Have excellent knowledge of accounting
- Master the analysis and processing of data and accounting and financial information
- Know how to develop a budget
- Master strategic analysis and business plan construction (market studies, scenarios, valuation of projects and growth operations)
- Know how to use business intelligence and management control tools
- Master office tools essential to his/her activity (spreadsheet, database, accounting software, etc.) and an ERP software
- Have managerial skills
- Have a fine knowledge of the activities and processes of the entire Group
