About the Role

Direct and manage business development activities, to achieve budget and growth expectations for the Radar Division.
Essential Functions

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, establish, and execute strategies for cultivating and capturing those opportunities
  • Interface with customers and shape their programs, considering requirements, existing capabilities, and funding availability
  • Maintain the Opportunity Pipeline, support gate reviews, pWIN/pGo determinations, and prepare account analysis or sales reports
  • Assist team members as necessary to develop and gain buy in for technical solutions, cost and schedule estimates, and pricing recommendations for new business opportunities.
  • Work with leadership to inform the strategic plan, growth initiatives, target and adjacent market identification, and product pricing
  • Participate in development and execution of budgets, short-term plans, long-term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Identify and contribute to new product and product enhancement planning
  • Promote and maintain the highest possible customer relationship, either directly or through the team
  • Keep internal team members informed of competitive information gained regarding pricing, products, or general issues in the market
  • Assist with the evaluation of potential acquisitions or partnerships
  • Supervise team members, administer period reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning
  • Demonstrates the Dimensions of Competition and Team Member Values in their daily actions and encourages their teams to do the same
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related field.
Minimum 8 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong sales and service skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Capability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
High level of patience and service.
Ability to motivate team members.
Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Travel up to 50% of time.
Qualifications:
