Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and service on John Deere and Caterpillar equipment. This role is a full-time travelling position to various project sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, especially in heavy equipment, along with experience in welding and fabricating. We are a rapidly growing construction company that values skill, reliability, and pride in workmanship. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your craft and help keep our projects running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as undercarriages.
Fabricate and weld parts, components, and attachments as needed.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
Coordinate with field crews and supervisors to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment.
Class B CDL for driving company service truck.
Proficient in welding and fabricating techniques.
Ability to work independently, outdoors, and lift heavy parts or tools.
Dependable, self-motivated, and punctual.
Compensation and Benefits:
$50-60 per hour - must join local Union
Per diem including housing when traveling
Service Truck - must provide your own tools
Paid Sick and Vacation Time
