LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant to join out cleint's growing corproate team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This role provides exposure to various accounting functions and offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
This is a fully onsite position based in Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with external audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions.
- Experience utilizing ERP or accounting software systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Progress toward CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience working within a mid-sized or large organization.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis activities.
Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $68,013.00 per year
