Our client is seeking an experienced
Interim Accounting Manager to provide leadership and hands-on support during a period of transition, growth, ERP implementation, leave coverage, or increased business demand. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage the month-end close process, and ensure accurate financial reporting while partnering with leadership on process improvements and special projects.

Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants, senior accountants, and accounting support personnel.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Monitor general ledger activity and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Evaluate existing accounting processes and implement efficiency improvements.
- Partner with operational and executive leadership on strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Assist with ERP implementations, system upgrades, and accounting process transformations when applicable.
- Ensure timely completion of all compliance and reporting requirements.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Prior Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- General Ledger Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- Month-End Close
- Account Reconciliations
- GAAP
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, Sage Intacct, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications- CPA strongly preferred.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience leading teams through process improvements, acquisitions, system implementations, or organizational change.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, real estate, or professional services organizations.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
