Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The Senior Accountant will work cross-functionally to provide accurate financial insights and support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Analyze financial statements and variances, providing actionable insights to leadership
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support internal and external audit processes and provide requested documentation
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, operations, tax) on financial matters
- Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process enhancements
QualificationsRequired:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
Preferred:- CPA or CPA-eligible
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-location environments
Skills & Competencies- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
