About the Role

Our staffing firm is partnering with a respected local organization to identify a Funding Project Manager for a part-time contract engagement. This position is ideal for an experienced project management professional who enjoys coordinating complex initiatives, managing deadlines, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support funding and grant-related projects.

This role will play a critical part in keeping funding initiatives organized, on track, and moving forward from planning through submission.

Columbus, OH (North Side)

15-20 Hours Per Week | Contract Assignment | Approximately 3-Month Project

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and coordination of grant and public funding initiatives.
  • Build and manage project timelines, work plans, and key milestones to ensure successful completion of deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, external partners, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, track action items, and maintain accountability across project participants.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of application materials, budgets, narratives, data, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Prepare project status updates and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Recommend process improvements and implement tools that enhance future funding and grant management efforts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience overseeing complex initiatives.
  • Previous experience supporting grant applications, public funding opportunities, proposals, or government-funded projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience within nonprofit, public sector, housing, community development, or human services organizations is a plus.
