About the Role

Operations Manager - Warehouse Operations (3PL)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an Operations Manager. This position will serve as a key leader within a high-volume warehouse and distribution environment, responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing warehouse personnel, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience within a fast-paced logistics environment, and a proven ability to improve operational performance through KPI management and process optimization. Based on enterprise resources describing warehouse and operations leadership responsibilities in distribution environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns.
  • Manage daily operational activities to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and customer service objectives are achieved.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and warehouse associates to build a high-performance team environment.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, order accuracy, and labor utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and service enhancements.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, staffing levels, and labor management to support fluctuating business demands.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse operating procedures.
  • Manage inventory control processes and work closely with quality teams to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools to analyze performance and drive data-based decision making.
  • Collaborate with transportation, customer service, and supply chain teams to optimize end-to-end logistics performance.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets while maintaining cost control initiatives and operational profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics management experience within a 3PL environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation coordination, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Experience managing large hourly workforces in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center.
  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and customer requirements.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Salary: $90,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
