About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recent high-volume payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional internal customer service.
This position offers a hybrid schedule after training and long-term growth potential.
Responsibilities
  • Process high-volume payroll accurately and on time.
  • Review and audit employee timesheets for accuracy prior to payroll processing.
  • Enter and maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, promotions, status changes, and terminations.
  • Calculate payable hours, overtime, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while responding to employee payroll inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll-related reconciliations.
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Assist with special payroll projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1-2+ years of payroll experience with payroll serving as your primary responsibility.
  • Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with payroll systems required.
