LHH is seeking an experienced Property Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Euless, TX, paying $70,000-$75,000 annually. The ideal candidate will have strong property accounting experience and hands-on experience with RealPage Financial Suite, including the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting modules. This role will oversee accounting activities for assigned properties, including financial reporting, reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Experience with HUD, LIHTC, and affordable housing accounting requirements is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee financial accounting for assigned properties, including income, expenses, invoices, and general ledger activity.
- Utilize and optimize RealPage Financial Suite, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting modules.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual property financial statements and reports.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and final financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, escrow accounts, tenant ledgers, and other property-related accounts.
- Assist with property-level budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Review and process invoices, vendor payments, and property-related expenses.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Partner with Housing leadership, regional teams, and property managers to translate financial data into actionable operational insights.
- Collaborate with Finance and Housing leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the transition of housing accounting functions from an external third-party provider to an internal accounting model, including validating opening balances, documenting processes, and coordinating knowledge transfer.
- Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, GAAP, and internal accounting policies.
- Manage and account for restricted funds, escrows, reserves, and other regulated affordable housing accounts.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties and special assignments as needed.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
