About the Role

LHH is partnering with an established financial services organization in Dallas seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional for a permanent opportunity. This position is ideal for someone who has strong traditional AP experience but also enjoys the accounting side of the function, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close and tax reporting.
This is a fully onsite position with a professional office environment and consistent Monday through Friday schedule.
What You'll Do
  • Process and review accounts payable transactions and vendor payments
  • Code and enter invoices while ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation
  • Research and resolve vendor and account discrepancies
  • Perform bank, vendor and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
  • Support fixed asset accounting and related reconciliations
  • Assist with 1099 reporting and other AP-related tax compliance
  • Support sales and use tax activities
  • Maintain accurate vendor and accounting records
  • Partner with internal departments to resolve payment and invoice issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and controls
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
  • Hands-on Workday experience required
  • Strong understanding of AP processes, reconciliations and accounting fundamentals
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas and VLOOKUPs
  • Experience with 1099 reporting strongly preferred
  • Exposure to fixed assets, journal entries, month-end close or sales/use tax is a plus
  • Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience is helpful but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
Pay Details: $33.65 to $38.46 per hour
