About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations with a great Triad-based company. This role will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and efficient processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and committed to providing excellent internal and external customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Support daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries in accordance with company accounting procedures.
  • Identify and escalate accounting discrepancies or unusual variances to management.
  • Assist with invoice processing, payment tracking, and customer account maintenance.
  • Work with internal teams, customers, and vendors to resolve AP and AR issues promptly.
  • Provide supporting documentation and reports for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Generate ad hoc financial reports and assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all accounting activities are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Pay Details: $48,000.00 to $52,000.00 per year
