Logistics Coordinator LHH is looking for a Logistics Coordinator for our client, a consumer products company here in NYC. This person will be responsible for managing and coordinating global inbound ocean, air, and parcel shipments across multiple countries and distribution centers. This is an on-going temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
Pay Range: $25-30/hr
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate international ocean, air, and parcel shipments from origin through final delivery.
- Collaborate with carriers, factories, booking agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment performance, identify risks, and proactively resolve booking, transit, and delivery issues.
- Analyze logistics data, develop reporting, and communicate shipment visibility and performance updates.
- Recommend transportation solutions based on transit times, freight availability, and business requirements.
- Manage exception handling, shipment prioritization, and adherence to established logistics procedures.
Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, transportation, or supply chain planning.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain processes and import compliance requirements (U.S., Canada, and EU preferred).
- Experience with freight movement via ocean and air transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience preferred.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
