Commercial Collections-Construction LHH Recruitment is working with a growing construction company in North Phoenix who is seeking an experienced Commercial Collections Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction B2B collections who understands the construction payment process and is experienced with lien waivers. This is Monday-Friday, fully onsite, compensating between 55k-65k DOE.
Responsibilities: - Manage a portfolio of commercial construction accounts and outstanding receivables
- Perform B2B collections on past-due construction invoices
- Contact customers by phone and email to secure timely payment
- Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies
- Review customer accounts, aging reports, and payment history
- Work closely with customers, project managers, and internal accounting teams
- Prepare, track, and process lien waivers
- Follow up on unpaid invoices and escalate delinquent accounts as needed
- Maintain accurate collection notes and account documentation
- Assist with account reconciliations and other AR-related duties
Requirements: - Construction B2B Collections and AR experience - MUST HAVE
- Lien waiver experience - MUST HAVE
- Strong understanding of commercial construction billing and collections
- Experience managing a high-volume accounts receivable portfolio
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong Excel skills(VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
