About the Role

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established real estate organization to identify We are looking to fill a Financial Reporting Position with a well-known Dallas based energy company. This position will support the Financial Reporting Director with technical accounting, SEC reporting, implementation of new accounting standards, and monthly corporate accounting activities. The role will also assist with internal and external financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
This position pays 110K-115K+Bonus and offers a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Research technical accounting matters and provide guidance as issues arise.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to consolidations, stock-based compensation, business combinations, equity, debt, and interest.
  • Assist with implementing new accounting standards and accounting policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and acquisition-related Form 8-K financial information.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting.
  • Support annual audits and quarterly reviews performed by external auditors.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CPA required.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years in corporate accounting and financial reporting for a public company.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FASB, and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience researching and interpreting technical accounting guidance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems such as Workiva.
  • Oil and gas accounting experience and familiarity with systems such as Enertia preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
