About the Role

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established, nationally recognized real estate services organization to identify a Senior Client/Property Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collaborative team supporting a diverse commercial real estate portfolio, with strong exposure to ownership groups and property leadership.

This role offers visibility, stability, and the ability to take ownership of complex properties in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties, including monthly close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
  • Review and analyze operating statements, general ledger activity, and variance reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries (cash and accrual basis) with a high level of accuracy
  • Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Partner closely with property management teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting deliverables
  • Review tenant billings, cash applications, and aged receivables to ensure accuracy and proper allocation
  • Support annual budgeting processes, CAM reconciliations, and escalation calculations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, management agreements, and reporting requirements
  • Monitor cash flow activity, including funding requests, inter-account transfers, and disbursement oversight
  • Assist with audit support, including responding to external auditors and preparing requested documentation
  • Prepare owner distributions and related supporting calculations
  • Maintain organized financial records and reporting documentation within internal systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of property accounting experience within commercial real estate environments
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and both cash and accrual accounting methods
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Exposure to CAM reconciliations, tax escalations, and operating expense recoveries preferred
  • Experience with real estate accounting systems such as Yardi or MRI
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
