LHH Recruitment Solutions (pka Parker+Lynch) is working with a growing small business-focused accounting firm on the northside of Indianapolis looking for an Accountant. This role will report to an Accounting Manager, support a defined book of clients, and be part of a collaborative team of accounting professionals. This position is open due to continued growth and offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure across both accounting and tax in a more balanced public accounting environment.
Responsibilities:- Serve as primary contact for a group of small business clients
- Prepare and review monthly compilations and financial reporting
- Assist with tax preparation (S Corps, LLCs, 1040s) and light review
- Support ongoing tax planning and client advisory needs
- Review work and assist with development of junior staff as needed
- Troubleshoot client bookkeeping issues and provide solutions
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the year
- Contribute to process improvements and service offerings
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 1+ years of experience within a CPA firm or similar client-facing environment
- Experience working with small business clients preferred
- Exposure to compilations and tax preparation (S Corp and individual)
- CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and client service mindset
- Motivated, team-oriented, and interested in long-term growth
