About the Role

HR Generalist
Chicago, IL - Near Humboldt Park (Onsite)
Direct Hire
$60,000 - $65,000 annually

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join a growing team in the Humboldt Park area. This onsite role will support day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and full-cycle recruiting efforts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Paylocity and a strong understanding of HR best practices and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Maintain and update employee records in Paylocity HRIS
  • Process payroll and support benefits administration
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, addressing questions and resolving issues
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and process improvements
  • Support performance management and policy implementation
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity required
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and employment law
  • Experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
