About the Role

Payroll Specialist LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Payroll Specialist who will support payroll operations and related administrative functions. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll matters. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $24 and $28/hr. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process recurring payroll cycles in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Audit employee timekeeping records, including regular hours, overtime, paid time off, and other payroll-related adjustments.
  • Maintain and update payroll data while safeguarding confidential employee information.
  • Coordinate payroll-related personnel updates such as onboarding, separations, compensation changes, benefit elections, and voluntary deductions.
  • Research and resolve payroll questions, discrepancies, and wage-related concerns submitted by employees.
  • Support payroll tax activities and assist with year-end payroll functions, including required reporting and tax documentation.
  • Review payroll registers and supporting reports to ensure accuracy and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Provide support for monthly accounting processes and other finance-related duties as needed.
  • Stay current with applicable wage and hour regulations and help ensure payroll procedures align with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist with various administrative and accounting projects to support departmental goals.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience processing payroll in a professional business environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience working with payroll software systems; familiarity with Paycor is preferred.
  • Exposure to a high-volume or multi-employee payroll environment is a plus.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
