LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, employee-owned organization in Portland, OR to identify an
HR Generalist to join their Human Resources team.
This is a direct-hire opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being a hands-on resource for employees and leaders while supporting a broad range of HR functions. The HR Generalist will support employees across multiple locations and partner closely with HR leadership and the broader business support team.
This position is
100% onsite in Portland, OR .
Responsibilities: - Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR questions.
- Support recruiting activities including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer preparation, and background checks.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, documentation, benefits enrollment, and first-day activities.
- Administer employee benefits and respond to benefits-related questions.
- Support leave of absence administration, including tracking eligibility, documentation, and required communications.
- Maintain accurate employee information and HRIS records.
- Partner with Payroll and Finance on employee changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Maintain employee files, I-9 documentation, required training records, and other compliance documentation.
- Support employee relations, training activities, and HR projects.
- Maintain HR forms, records, and documentation across digital and physical systems.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of Human Resources experience with exposure to multiple HR functions.
- Experience supporting areas such as benefits, recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, compliance, and employee relations.
- Previous HRIS and applicant tracking system experience required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate HR policies and processes to employees and managers.
- Comfortable working with a highly professional and technical employee population.
- Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-state organization is preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is
$70,000-$90,000 annually , depending on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other relevant considerations.
