Tax Accountant/Pitts

Tax Accountant Location: New Kensington, PA Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Pay Rate: Up to $29/hour based on experience
LHH is recruiting for an experienced Tax Accountant for an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity in New Kensington, PA. This position is ideal for accounting professionals with experience preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns who are proficient in QuickBooks and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual tax returns (Form 1040)
• Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns
• Gather and organize financial information and supporting tax documentation
• Reconcile accounts and review financial records for accuracy
• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain client financial data and general ledger activity
• Assist with tax planning and compliance projects
• Research and resolve tax-related questions and discrepancies
• Communicate with clients regarding tax documentation and filing requirements
• Maintain accurate records and meet filing deadlines

Qualifications
Required:

• Experience preparing 1040 individual tax returns
• Experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and client service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred:

• Public accounting or tax firm experience
• Experience working with multiple client accounts
• Accounting or finance degree preferred
