Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipment coordination, carrier communication, and transportation scheduling for a growing organization in Shelbyville, Indiana.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation coordination, or customer service who enjoys problem-solving and keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Schedule and dispatch carriers, vendors, and transportation providers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, drivers, and internal teams
- Track shipments and proactively communicate status updates
- Resolve transportation issues, delays, and service concerns
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation
- Update logistics information within company systems and spreadsheets
- Support continuous improvement of transportation and coordination processes
Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, transportation, customer service, or supply chain support
- Experience working with carriers, vendors, and third-party transportation providers
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, email, and business software systems
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Experience- Logistics, transportation, dispatch, routing, or shipment coordination experience
- Experience working with ERP, TMS, or logistics software systems
- Background supporting manufacturing, distribution, transportation, or supply chain operations
