About the Role

Loan Closer (Mortgage & Commercial Lending) | Overland Park, KS Direct Hire| up to $85K LHH is partnering with well-established financial institution seeking an experienced Loan Closer to join its lending operations team. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in either residential mortgage closing or commercial loan closing who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely loan documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with lenders, processors, underwriters, title companies, attorneys, and customers to ensure a seamless closing experience from approval through funding. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate all aspects of the loan closing process for mortgage and/or commercial lending transactions.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize closing packages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify required documentation, conditions, and approvals have been satisfied prior to closing.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external partners to facilitate timely closing.
  • Review title commitments, insurance documentation, settlement statements, and supporting loan documentation.
  • Schedule closings and coordinate funding activities.
  • Ensure loans are documented in accordance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies and identify potential closing issues before funding.
  • Maintain accurate loan records and update internal systems throughout the closing process.
  • Deliver exceptional service to borrowers, lenders, and business partners throughout the transaction lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of recent loan closing experience within residential mortgage lending or commercial lending.
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation, compliance requirements, and closing procedures.
  • Experience reviewing and coordinating closing packages from initial approval through funding.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient with lending platforms, document preparation systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with commercial real estate, C&I, construction, SBA, consumer, or residential mortgage loan transactions.
  • Knowledge of title, escrow, closing disclosures, settlement statements, and collateral documentation.
  • Banking or credit union experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with post-closing and funding processes.
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
