Human Resources GeneralistLocation: Sacramento, CA
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our People & Culture team. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role serves as a key partner in supporting HR operations, employee engagement, compliance, and talent initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Administer daily HR processes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
- Manage HRIS updates, reporting, audits, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Track required compliance activities, including certifications, training completions, safety requirements, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain safety-related tracking, monthly vehicle reporting, and compliance calendars.
- Coordinate seamless onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees.
- Facilitate new hire orientation, employment documentation, and system access setup.
- Process employee status changes, personnel updates, and other lifecycle transactions.
- Ensure personnel files and records remain current and compliant.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and programs that reinforce organizational values and culture.
- Assist with employee communications, training programs, recognition efforts, and team events.
- Coordinate HR meetings, training sessions, and key People & Culture milestones.
- Provide backup support for payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Assist with employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR programs.
- Support expense reporting, reconciliations, and HR-related reporting as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to employee requests.
- Manage pre-employment processes, including background checks, onboarding requirements, and employment documentation.
- Partner closely with leadership on People & Culture initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Prepare HR reports, compliance audits, workforce data, and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of HR programs that drive employee success and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and HR technology systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience utilizing HR software, HRIS systems, and AI-powered tools.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $43.00 per hour
