A growing national organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Distribution Manager to support the daily operations of a high-volume distribution and fulfillment facility in the Charlotte area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, leading team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving operational excellence.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in distribution or logistics environments, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the day-to-day management of warehouse and distribution operations.
- Lead, coach, and support warehouse personnel to ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety goals are achieved.
- Coordinate receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and replenishment activities.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain inventory integrity through proper controls and adherence to established procedures.
- Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and employee development initiatives.
- Track operational metrics and provide recommendations to improve performance and customer service.
- Serve as a back-up leader for facility operations as needed.
Qualifications- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment environment.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing daily operational activities.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes.
- Experience utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or similar operational software.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting.
Schedule- First Shift Schedule
- Full-Time
- Consistent 40-hour work week with flexibility to support operational demands when needed
