Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)Vernon, CA | $31.25-$36.75 hourlyOur client, a growing manufacturing company in Vernon, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This position combines general accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable responsibilities, with a strong focus on month-end close and reconciliations
Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end close support
- Review AP batches for accuracy, including 3-way matching
- Reconcile credit cards, prepaid expenses, and AP aging to the GL
- Prepare CRV liability schedules and commission calculations
- Process weekly check runs and maintain accounting records
- Manage billing, collections, and cash application
- Reconcile sales registers and research customer deductions
- Perform account reconciliations and support general ledger activities
Qualifications- 3+ years of Staff Accountant experience
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting
- Experience preparing journal entries and accruals independently
- Hands-on AP, AR, and month-end close experience
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Intermediate Excel skills including: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Pay Details: $31.25 to $36.75 per hour
