Payroll Administrator Location: Central San Diego, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (Fully Onsite)
Pay: $28-$30/hour
Length: Contract-To-Hire
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Administrator to join their team in Central San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Review and audit timesheets, payroll data, deductions, and wage calculations for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Maintain employee payroll records and update payroll information as needed
- Handle garnishments, benefits deductions, leave balances, and other payroll-related adjustments
- Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processing
- Partner with HR and Accounting teams on employee onboarding, terminations, and payroll updates
- Support additional administrative and accounting functions as needed
Qualifications- 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
- Experience with full-cycle payroll processing
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll best practices
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Hospitality industry experience preferred but not required
