About the Role

Production Manager Location: Goldsboro, NC Schedule: Day Shift Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Goldsboro, NC facility. This newly created position supports continued business growth and the launch of a new production line. Reporting directly to the Site Director, the Production Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, employee engagement, safety, quality, and productivity across the plant. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on the production floor, enjoys developing teams, and has a passion for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Manage and develop a team of approximately 20-30 direct reports and support a larger hourly workforce.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, and Warehouse Operations.
  • Monitor production performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance development for supervisors and production employees.
  • Support production planning and execution to meet customer and business demands.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and actively engage with employees throughout operations.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 4+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a Production Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar operations leadership role.
  • Proven success leading production teams and managing hourly manufacturing employees.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations, and performance metrics.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge with demonstrated continuous improvement accomplishments.
  • Ability to effectively lead in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to warehouse operations, quality systems, and production planning.
  • Engineering background or technical manufacturing expertise.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and team-building skills.
Ideal Background We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
  • Industrial Manufacturing
  • Technology Manufacturing
  • Durable Goods Manufacturing
Experience with products requiring longer manufacturing cycles and complex production processes is highly desirable. Systems Experience
  • SAP ERP experience preferred
Pay Details: $125,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year
