Cost Accountant
LHH recruitment solutions is hiring for a cost accountant in the Belle Glade, FL area. Our client is searching for a cost accountant with a strong manufacturing background. This is a unique opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to make a meaningful impact within a manufacturing environment while gaining exposure to senior leadership and strategic business operations. This position is a hybrid role working 3 days in office and 2 fully remote. Key Responsibilities
· Manage and maintain the company's cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.
· Analyze product costs, labor costs, material usage, and manufacturing variances.
· Review and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure costing accuracy throughout production operations.
· Monitor inventory transactions and manufacturing cost flows to ensure financial accuracy.
· Partner with operations and management teams to identify cost savings opportunities and improve profitability.
· Assist in maintaining and enhancing cost accounting methodologies and reporting processes.
· Inventory Accounting & Reconciliations
· Perform detailed inventory analysis and account reconciliations.
· Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
· Research and resolve inventory discrepancies and costing issues.
· Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and manufacturing operations.
· Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory valuation and cost reporting.
· Assist in cleanup and maintenance of inventory-related accounts and historical reconciliation issues.
· Support monthly financial and management reporting.
· Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and financial schedules.
· Collaborate with leadership on operational and financial decision-making.
· Provide analytical support for budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
· Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities where appropriate.
This position can pay $90k-$110k depending on resume and experience. Please apply today!
