Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to join a stable organization while contributing to key accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
- Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Assist with inventory and cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial controls.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of month-end close procedures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Manufacturing accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Background in inventory accounting or cost accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
